Updates: September 2022 VDM and WebReports

In this week's post I want to announce the latest versions available for WebReports and VDM and some of the key features / tasks that were completed in the September updates.

VDM

Latest Version: 11.3.11.0

Key Updates:

Bug Fixes

• VoV Builder - Save As was not working for VoV builder.

• VoV Builder - Saving a VoV that leveraged an advanced query could result in the advanced query being applied to the VoV, making it ignore all other queries except the one.

• Connection Wizard - Refresh on a WebReports connection was not clearing the available collections causing duplicate values to be populated.

• Visualize - VoVs that leveraged Union All were not being loaded properly in Visualize.

Implemented Tasks / Features

• Parameters leveraging the Dynamic Query option now have support for UDFs.

• A user will only be able to select the defined connection profiles when creating a WebReports connection profile.

• When working in Advanced Query, users can now create datasets by entering two semi-colons (;;) at the end of each SQL statement. Users can define the character used as a view level option (default is ;;).

• Users are now notified when trying to edit an Execution in the Scheduler without having one selected.

• Users are now required to save the View prior to entering the Visualize Designer if it is a new view.

• The Gauge option has been removed from the Export/Print ribbon bar.

• The AutoSchedule Setup button has been renamed to Scheduler.

• Load All Connections has been removed from VDM's Settings.

• Reset on Search now includes Variable Filter values.

WebReports

Latest Version: 11.3.11.0

Key Updates:

Bug Fixes

• Add Report - The type selection for adding a report does not allow proper selection / clearing.

• Update User - The current UDF values for a user are not being displayed when they are being edited.

Implemented Tasks / Features

• Union All VoVs can now be leveraged inside WebReports.
