With the release of version 11 of VDM (View Release Notes) we introduced an option that allows users to redact the query that is being sent. In this post I am going to cover the steps to take to redact queries masking and provide examples of usage.
Why Redact Queries?
Redacting queries can be useful to remove any PII sent in the query (example: Social Security Numbers).

Steps To Redact Query
1. Open or create a view.
2. Click the View Options ribbon bar on VDM's main screen
3. Enable the Redact option
4. Run the view and check logs to verify the query has been redacted.
