Updates: March 2025 VDM and WebReports

In this post we cover the latest versions available for WebReports and VDM and some of the key features / tasks that were completed in the March updates.

VDM

Bug Fixes

• (Bug 1682) - VDM: VoV - Single Summary VoV Pivot Not Saving ■

  • When opening a VoV Single Summary, the Pivot does not load.

• (Bug 1696) - VDM: Open File Unhandled Exception ■

Implemented Tasks / Features

• We have added a new Parameter setting called "Restrict to List". This setting allows a parameter to restrict adding new values into a list. (Feature 1156)

• MDXDrillThrough - Passing a Listing. (Task 1694)

WebReports

Bug Fixes

• Bug 1667 - WebReports: Intersystems IRIS BI ■

  • There was an issue with the Intersystems IRIS BI API return data.

• Bug 1686 - WebReports: Scheduler - Long Running Job ■

  • If a long-running job is executed through the scheduler and no threads are available, the scheduler will add any unstarted jobs to the queue at one-minute intervals.

• Bug 1691 - WebReports: Parameters - Dynamic Default Value ■

  • The Dynamic Default value in WebReports is not reflecting updated parameter values. (Nested Default Parameters - Default Value that is based off the previous parameter)

• Bug 1698 - WebReports: MYSQL - Publishing Reports ■

  • When trying to publish reports to WebReports using MySQL, the process would error.

Implemented Tasks / Features

• WebReports now supports the new Parameter setting called "Restrict to List". (Feature 1171) 

  • This setting allows a parameter to restrict adding new values into its value list.

• We have added a new configuration option called "Remove Scheduler History Days". (Task 1685)

  • This option will set how long WebReports retains historical information on reports (successfully ran / failure to run / etc.)

• The WebReports Scheduler now has the ability to process multiple reports at the same time. (Task 1687)

• We have added a new configuration option called "Scheduler Parallel Threads". (Task 1688)

  • This option will set the number of threads the scheduler can use to process multiple reports.

• We have added a new configuration option called "Report Default Retention". (Task 1689)

  • This option will set the Assignment Retention Policy default at the system level on the Configuration Page. This setting serves as the default for all new assignments.
