Updates: May 2023 VDM and WebReports

In this post we cover the latest versions available for WebReports and VDM and some of the key features / tasks that were completed in the May updates.

Key Updates:

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a challenge where the Reserved Words inside the Post Processing form were not working correctly.

  • The Open Current View's Directory button was not working properly for Views saved on the OneDrive.

  • Parameter order was impacting the display of parameters that were Enabled / Disabled by other parameter values.

  • When adding a new parameter, the date time picker format is available even if the type is not set to DTP. In addition to this, the Date / Date Time format were not updating properly when changing between the two options.

  • When publishing a view to WebReports without permission / connections assigned to the user account, you get a version mismatch warning that says version 0.0.0.

  • When using a Command Table that has a field with " " around it due to spaces, they don't come over when you're building the report. The result is an error.

Implemented Tasks / Features

  • We now run the UDF check on all parameter values.

  • The Bridgit AI form now automatically adjusts for an 80/20 ratio depending on your screen size.

  • Spellcheck has been disabled in areas that it does not quite fit (FSGS, Bridgit, etc.).

  • Added Encryption options for CAIA on the WR Appsettings Form.

  • Embedded command tables has been revisited and now correctly uses the the local command tables when disabled and gets the updated local command table when re-enabled.

  • Added a reserved word that allows report names to be passed.

    • @WRReportName

  • Bridgit AI now can be used in the Service Logs by right clicking on the desired logs.

Bug Fixes

  • Made adjustments for the SQL Injection Check on Dynamic Query parameters.

  • Addressed a challenge where summary fields were coming back as empty strings for the Returned Name instead.

Implemented Tasks / Features

  • WebReports can now be registered using an offline license.

  • Encryption options for CAIA have been added.

  • Added support for suppressed parameters inside a dynamic query for WebReports.

  • Added additional logging and the ability to set Active Directory Users for UDFCalls.
