The WebReports 2026.05.12 release focuses on one important goal: making it easier to understand what's happening inside your environment when issues occur.
This update expands logging capabilities, improves startup diagnostics, and includes several usability enhancements designed to create a smoother user experience.
Better Visibility into Bridgit Chat Activity
As organizations increasingly use Bridgit Chat as part of their reporting and collaboration workflows, having access to complete activity records becomes more important.
With this release, Bridgit Chat activity is now captured directly within the existing WebReports logging framework. By centralizing these events alongside other application logs, administrators and support teams gain a more complete view of system activity without needing to review information in multiple locations.
This improvement simplifies monitoring, troubleshooting, and validation efforts while providing greater visibility into chat-related interactions.
Faster Diagnosis of Configuration Issues
Configuration issues can be frustrating, especially when an application fails to start without providing clear information about the cause.
WebReports now includes enhanced startup logging for invalid JSON configuration files. Problems such as malformed JSON, invalid characters, formatting issues, or improperly configured settings files are now detected and logged with detailed error information.
By providing clearer diagnostics during startup, administrators can identify and resolve configuration problems more quickly, reducing downtime and simplifying deployment and maintenance activities.
Additional User Experience Improvements
This release also includes several usability enhancements throughout the application.
Users working in Dark Mode will notice improved visibility when interacting with filter menus, making options easier to read and select. Additional improvements were made to report assignment workflows by automatically clearing search filters after a report is selected, helping users add multiple reports more efficiently.
The Visualize Reports date picker has also been updated to improve month and year visibility in Light Mode, creating a more consistent and user-friendly experience when selecting dates.
Looking Ahead
WebReports 2026.05.12 continues our focus on improving transparency, reliability, and usability. By expanding logging capabilities and providing clearer diagnostic information, this release helps administrators spend less time troubleshooting and more time delivering value through reporting and analytics.
