WebReports Version 2026.08.03: New Statistics, Faster Configuration, and Improved Usability

The WebReports Version 2026.08.03 update introduces new administrative tools, clearer configuration guidance, and several improvements designed to simplify everyday reporting workflows.

Configuration Changes Without Restarting

WebReports configuration changes now take effect without requiring the application to restart. Changes are applied immediately to the instance where they are saved and distributed to other running instances within 60 seconds.

Because configuration updates no longer require a restart, the previous Stop Application control has also been removed. Administrators can now update settings with less disruption to active users and reporting operations.

New WebReports Statistics

This release introduces an optional Statistics feature that provides administrators with live and historical information about WebReports activity.

Administrators can review:

  • Report activity

  • Report queue workloads

  • CPU usage

  • Memory usage

  • Returned dataset sizes

Collection and retention settings can be configured to support operational monitoring and historical analysis. Statistics history can also be included when importing WebReports data.

To protect sensitive information, report parameters and report output are not stored by the Statistics feature.

Configuration Help Inside WebReports

Information icons are now available alongside configuration settings. Selecting an information icon opens a detailed description directly within WebReports.

The available guidance explains the purpose of each setting, its expected behavior, default values, and any important considerations. This makes it easier for administrators to understand and manage configuration options without having to leave WebReports to search the support site.

Improved Report Queueing

The report viewer now includes a Queue option within the Run Report menu. Queued reports are submitted without the previous fixed delay, providing a faster and more responsive queueing experience.

The updated controls also help prevent users from submitting the same queue request multiple times while the original request is still processing.

Additional Fixes and Improvements

WebReports Version 2026.08.03 also includes the following fixes:

  • User role updates: Adding or removing a user’s role now immediately updates the selected user’s card and assigned-report information after saving.

  • Ask Bridgit permissions: Ask Bridgit is available in Finished Reports and Visualize only to users assigned the Admin or Bridgit Analysis role.

  • User invitation emails: A background-processing issue that could prevent newly invited users from receiving their invitation email has been resolved. Invitation, password-reset, and username-recovery emails now use the correct processing context for more reliable delivery.

Before Installing the Update

We strongly recommend testing WebReports Version 2026.08.03 in a non-production environment before deploying it to production.

The system hosting WebReports must also have the ASP.NET Core Runtime 10 Hosting Bundle installed. Administrators should review the latest WebReports installation instructions before upgrading to confirm that all current requirements are met.

WebReports Version 2026.08.03 delivers greater visibility into system activity, more convenient configuration management, and a smoother experience for administrators and report users.
