BridgeWorks has released VDM Version 2026.9.9.0, bringing new email delivery capabilities, scheduling improvements, and several fixes designed to make everyday reporting workflows easier and more reliable.

This release introduces Microsoft Graph email delivery support, improves how users find jobs when creating scheduled appointments, and resolves several issues involving Database Files, Views, Advanced Query, View of Views, and Finished Reports.

Microsoft Graph Email Delivery Support

VDM now supports Microsoft Graph as an alternative method for sending email.

This provides organizations with another email delivery option when traditional SMTP does not meet current authentication or security requirements. Existing SMTP functionality remains available, allowing organizations to use the delivery method that best fits their environment.

Quickly Find Jobs When Scheduling Appointments

Creating scheduled appointments is now easier when working with a large number of jobs.

The Job List now includes a search option, allowing users to filter available jobs and quickly locate the job they want to schedule instead of scrolling through the entire list.

Easier Database File Maintenance

Several improvements in this release make Database Files easier to manage and troubleshoot.

Users can now add, remove, and reposition fields directly within an existing Database File definition. Previously, changes to a Database File could require rebuilding the file definition or editing it outside of VDM.

Database File Test Import has also been improved. VDM now validates the complete input file instead of potentially overlooking invalid values farther into the data. When a problem is found, users receive more useful information identifying the affected file, row, field, and value.

Views Stay in Sync with Source Changes

VDM now handles changes to source database schemas more effectively.

When fields are added to or removed from a source, existing Views can refresh their cached field information as needed. This helps ensure newly added fields are available without requiring users to recreate the View.

User-selected Report Fields remain under the user's control.

Improved Advanced Query Copy and Paste

SQL queries can once again be copied directly between open VDM sessions.

Advanced Query clipboard operations now use plain text, resolving an issue where copying SQL from one VDM session and pasting it into another could fail.

More Reliable View of Views Searches

Repeated searches within View of Views are now more reliable.

VDM now preserves the query configuration for each child View between searches, resolving an issue that could cause an invalid SQL error when running another search within the same View of Views session.

Copy and Paste Finished Reports Charts

Charts within the Finished Reports designer can once again be copied and pasted.

Duplicated charts retain their series, layout, and data-source relationships, making it easier to reuse an existing chart as the starting point for another visualization instead of rebuilding it from scratch.

Charts can also be pasted into another report band when needed.

Update to VDM Version 2026.9.9.0

VDM Version 2026.9.9.0 brings together several improvements focused on making configuration, scheduling, reporting, and report design more efficient.

As with any software update, BridgeWorks recommends testing the new version in a non-production environment before deploying it to production.
